This Week’s Scheduled MODIS Activities Not Completed:
None
Upcoming MODIS Events:
December calibrations will include bi-weekly SD/SDSM events, an SRCA Full Radiometric, and a PV Electronics Calibration.
Two new SRCA calibrations will be performed in the near future; one of these new activities will use the “backup” lamps in the SRCA Spherical Integrating Source (SIS) for the first time on orbit.
Maneuvers:
The next Terra MODIS Lunar Calibration via roll maneuver will be on December 24th, 2002 (2002/358). The roll angle will be -3.3484 degrees and the data collection period will be from 06:50:16 to 06:56:46 GMT.
The next Terra drag make-up maneuver is being planned for December 18th, 2002.
An additional set of 2 days of six yaw maneuvers each day to facilitate SD/SDSM “Screened” calibrations is being scheduled for January 8-9, 2002.
The Terra Deep Space Calibration Maneuver is still postponed.
MODIS Anomalies:
None
General Instrument Comments:
MODIS is in Science Mode, using all A-side components, but cross-strapped to Formatter B, with the blackbody maintained at 290K.
MODIS Telemetry Trends:
Nominal telemetry tracking is taking place. A slight increase in the radiative cooler intermediate stage temperature has been observed along with a decrease in the focal plane heater power usage. These telemetry points will be closely monitored for additional changes over the next several weeks.
Non-MODIS Significant Events:
The EMOS mission status webpage (which includes instrument data loss records) can be found at the following URL. Note that a password is now required to access the EOS mission links web pages. There are directions at the URL below for how to obtain a username/password.
