This Week’s Scheduled MODIS Activities Not Completed:

None

Upcoming MODIS Events:

Calibrations for September will include biweekly SDSM, monthly SRCA Full Radiometric, and SRCA Full Spectral.

Tuesday, September 6, 2005

2005/249 21:24:27-21:33:15 ATC MOD_OA16_SDSM_SCRN_NO_DOOR_A.4 OA-16: SD/SDSM screened side A, no door movement.
2005/249 22:00:00-22:00:31 ATC MOD_SRCA_11_3_8_2_SETUP_CC.1 SRCA setup activity using lamp #4 in lieu of lamp #2 and in constant current feedback mode
2005/249 22:13:50-22:49:00 ATC MOD_OA19_SRCA_FULL_RAD_A.6 OA-19: SRCA Full Radiometric Calibration.
Data collection from 22:29:44-22:48:01.

Maneuvers:

The next Terra MODIS Lunar Calibration Roll will be on DOY 2005/265 (September 22, 2005). The roll angle will be -12.4733 degrees. Data collect will be from 06:28:28 – 06:34:58.

MODIS Anomalies:

None

General Instrument Comments:

MODIS is in Science Mode, using all A-side components, but cross-strapped to Formatter B, with the blackbody maintained at 290K and the Solar Diffuser Door at the Screened position.

MODIS Telemetry Trends:

Nominal telemetry trending is ongoing.

Non-MODIS Significant Events:

On DOY 2005/238, SSR PWA containing supersets 54 and 55, was lost. These supersets belonged to the MODIS science buffer. Those supersets were moved to the Bad List, and because of this, a data loss between 23:09:46 and 23:23:57 should be expected. Science data that was contained within those supersets was also lost. This PWA loss is similar to the ones that have occurred in the past. The FOT is currently discussing plans to recycle the SSR in the hopes that it will bring back some of the lost PWA’s.

The EMOS mission status webpage (which includes instrument data loss records) can be found at the following URL. Note that a password is now required to access the EOS mission links web pages. There are directions at the URL below for how to obtain a username/password.
