Upcoming MODIS Events:

Calibrations for December will include biweekly SDSM, monthly SRCA full radiometric, and bimonthly PV Ecal.

Wednesday, December 7, 2005

Terra inclination adjust contingency activity
2005/341 15:20:41-15:22:22 ATC MOD_CLOSE_NAD_SVD.1 (100 seconds prior to S/C day, orbit 31765)

Maneuvers:

The next Terra MODIS Lunar Calibration Roll will be on DOY 2005/354 (December 20, 2005). The roll angle will be –3.4356 degrees. Data collect will be from 12:58:44-13:05:14.

The Terra spacecraft will be performing an inclination adjust maneuver on December 7, 2005 (doy 341). Expect abnormal science data. Details below:

-90.7 deg. Yaw start: 341 / 14:45:42
Maneuver (burn) start: 341 / 14:58:13
+90.7 deg. Yaw start: 341 / 15:09:53
+90.7 deg. Yaw complete: 341/ 15:20:24

Loss of Pointing Accuracy 12:45:42z
Regain of Pointing Accuracy 17:50:24z

There will also be inclination adjust maneuvers on days 347 and 349.

MODIS Anomalies:

None

General Instrument Comments:

MODIS is in Science Mode, using all A-side components, but cross-strapped to Formatter B, with the blackbody maintained at 290K and the Solar Diffuser Door at the Screened position.
