This Week's Scheduled MODIS Activities Not Completed:
None
Upcoming MODIS Events:
There are no further calibrations planned for August.
Maneuvers:
The next Terra MODIS Lunar Calibration Roll will be on DOY 2006/254 (September 11, 2006). The roll angle will be -11.1905 degrees. Data collect will be from 17:47:32-17:54:02.
MODIS Anomalies:
On 2006/234, both the NAD and SVD were commanded closed via the ATC load. The LWIR and SMIR temps rose well into their yellow values. The doors remained closed for approximately 2.5 hours before they were opened using real time commanding by the IOT. The reason these doors closed was due to a scheduling error on the part of the IOT. Expect a total loss of science data from 234/16:37 to 234/19:14, and a loss of IR data until about 235/19:20. As of this time, there does not appear to be any degradation of new MODIS data due to this incident
General Instrument Comments:
MODIS is in Science Mode, using all A-side components, but cross-strapped to Formatter B, with the blackbody maintained at 290K and the Solar Diffuser Door at the Screened position.
MODIS Telemetry Trends:
Nominal telemetry trending is ongoing.
