Maneuvers:
---
Terra Lunar Roll took place on 2016/028.
Terra DMU #95 took place on 2015/351.
Terra IAM #43 will take place on 2016/049.
MODIS Anomalies:
---
MODIS was sent to safe mode on 2016/049 autonomously by the Terra S/C is it had entered safe mode. SVD and Nadir Doors are closed and no science data is being collected.
General Instrument Comments:
MODIS is in Safe Mode, using all A-side components, but cross-strapped to Formatter B. All subsystems are powered off except for the Power Supply 1, Control Processor A, Timing Generator A, and Formatter B. The Solar Diffuser Door remains at the Screened position. The Space View Door and Nadir Aperture Door were closed as part of the Safe Mode transition.
MODIS Telemetry Trends:
Nominal telemetry trending is ongoing.
Non-MODIS Significant Events:
Terra Spacecraft Earth Point Safe-Hold
On February 18, 2016 (2016/049) the Terra FOT were executing IAM #43. During the execution of the IAM, the spacecraft slewed out to +89.8 degrees which is the opposite direction of the planned slew, -89.8 degrees. Upon verifying that the spacecraft slewed in the opposite direction than planned, the FOT attempted to prevent the burn and slew back. The Fault Detection Isolation & Response (FDIR) transitioned the S/C into Earth Point Safe-Hold (transfer to ACE-A) with thruster control at 049/14:33:17. After normal earth pointing attitude was achieved, control was switched to wheels.
