Standby and Safe Transition
When running the procs to transition from Safe to Standby, and from Standby to Science, the real-time log would read out that the transition had failed although upon verifying that all major expected telemetry points had changed to their expected state, it was determined that the transitions were both successful. On the transition to Standby Mode from Safe Mode, the transition "failed" because it was looking for the telemetry point MOD_CR_RC_CFPA_T3SET to say "NOT", when it actually read "NOT SELECTED". After looking into it, the point MOD_CR_RC_CFPA_T3SET can only read "NOT SELECTED" or "SELECTED". There is an error in the proc MOD_STBY_TXTN('A') and it should be changed to check for "NOT SELECTED" as opposed to "NOT". When transitioning to Science Mode from Standby Mode, the transition "failed" as well. The real-time log did not explicitly state what had caused it to fail like the Standby transition proc had. We would hypothesize that it is either do to the same telemetry point, MOD_CR_RC_CFPA_T3SE, or because of the software patch that keeps the B-side formatter on instead of the A-side formatter. More investigation is necessary.
General Instrument Comments:
MODIS is in Science Mode, using all A-side components, but
cross-strapped to Formatter B, with the blackbody maintained at 290K and
the Solar Diffuser Door at the Screened position.
MODIS Telemetry Trends:
Nominal telemetry trending is ongoing.
