This Week's Scheduled MODIS Activities Not Completed:
None.
Upcoming MODIS Events:
Monday, October 28th, 2002
2002/301 13:09:00 -- 13:22:58 MCL MOD_OA16_SDSM_SCREEN.2 OA16: SD/SDSM Screened - B-Side
2002/301 14:47:53 -- 15:01:51 MCL MOD_OA15_SDSM_OPEN.1 OA15: SD/SDSM Open - B-Side
Maneuvers:
The next Aqua MODIS lunar calibration is planned for November 15th, 2002 with data collection from 04:38:56 to 04:45:26 GMT and a roll angle of -9.8076 degrees.
The Deep Space Calibration pitch maneuver(s) have been indefinitely suspended pending mission review.
MODIS Anomalies:
The MODIS commanding anomaly is still being investigated. A patch was loaded to the Aqua spacecraft on Tuesday, October 11th, 2002, to switch the MODIS ground-command timing slots with the MODIS stored- command timing slots. This transfers the risk associated with dropping commands from stored commands to real-time ground commands.
No problems have been reported since the patch was loaded and the last command drop occurred on September 2nd, 2002. The results of the patch will be evaluated for some time before the next configuration change is made. A final patch to the Aqua Bus Scheduler Task (BST) is being considered which would eliminate the timing issues to MODIS for both ground commands and stored commands.
General Instrument Comments:
FM1 MODIS is in Science Mode. The SVD and NAD are Open, the survival heaters are enabled, and the Black Body is heated to 285 K.
MODIS Telemetry Trends:
The FM1 MODIS instrument telemetry is trending nominally. The most recent radiative cooler telemetry analysis indicates significant temperature margin for the cold focal planes.
