Upcoming MODIS Events:

2003/055 14:54:23 - 15:08:21 MCL MOD_OA16_SDSM_SCREEN.2 OA-16: SD/SDSM Screened - B Side
2003/055 16:33:16 - 16:47:14 MCL MOD_OA15_SDSM_OPEN.1 OA-15: SD/SDSM Opened - B Side
2003/055 18:21:30 - 18:24:01 MCL MOD_OA27_PV_ECAL.1 OA-27: Photo-voltaic Band Electronics Calibration

A flight software patch is planned to the Control Processor CP07 mode transition table to not turn off the instrument formatter when MODIS transitions to Safe Mode. However, this patch is still postponed until the Aqua BST patch has been implemented.

Maneuvers:

The next FM1 MODIS lunar calibration via spacecraft roll maneuver is March 14th, 2003 (2003/073) with data collection from 07:37:46 to 07:44:16 GMT and a roll angle of -13.7657 degrees.

The Deep Space Calibration pitch maneuver(s) are still postponed pending the results of the Terra Deep Space Calibration maneuvers currently planned for March 26th and April 14th, 2003.

MODIS Anomalies:

Work is still underway to fix the current BST patch as well as modify the final BST patch that was nearing final review approval. This fix will solve the problem of MODIS Ground Command transactions being disabled by MODIS Stored Commands.

General Instrument Comments:

FM1 MODIS is in Science Mode. The SVD and NAD are Open, the survival heaters are enabled, and the Black Body is heated to 285 K.

MODIS Telemetry Trends:

The FM1 MODIS instrument telemetry is trending nominally. A slight increase in the radiative cooler intermediate stage temperature has been observed along with a decrease in the focal plane heater power usage. The radiative cooler temperatures has not leveled off as dramatically for the FM1 MODIS as they did for the PFM MODIS, but the intermediate stage temperature has only risen about 1 degree Celsius and the focal plane heater still has approximately 40mW of power margin remaining. These telemetry points will continue to be closely monitored.
