This Week's Scheduled MODIS Activities Not Completed:

None

Upcoming MODIS Events:

October calibrations will include biweekly SDSM, monthly SRCA Full Radiometric, and quarterly SRCA Full Spectral and Blackbody calibrations. In addition, a full set of memory table dumps will be gathered.

Tuesday, October 7, 2003

2003/280 15:39:35-15:41:05 MCL MOD_NAD_AND_SVD_TO_CLOSED.1

This activity starts 90 seconds prior to entering spacecraft day. It is the MODIS contingency activity for the Aqua Inclination Adjust Maneuver (see Maneuvers below).

Maneuvers:

The Aqua MODIS Lunar Calibration Roll in November will happen on DOY 2003/308 (November 4, 2003). At 09:23:47- 09:30:17 GMT. The roll angle will be -13.73 degrees.

The Aqua inclination adjustment maneuver is being planned for October 7, 2003 (previously was October 2, 2003). The maneuver is to be performed completely in eclipse. Once again, contingency activities will be scheduled to close the MODIS nadir and space view doors in the event that the spacecraft does not return to nominal pointing. If the maneuver is successful, the commands to close the MODIS doors will be inhibited.

Note: If the inclination maneuver is not executed on October 7, a drag make-up maneuver will need to be performed on October 9.

No official date has yet been scheduled for the Aqua Deep Space Calibration pitch maneuver(s).

MODIS Anomalies:

None

General Instrument Comments:

FM1 MODIS is in Science Mode. The SVD and NAD are Open, the survival heaters are enabled, and the Black Body is heated to 285 K.

MODIS Telemetry Trends:

The FM1 MODIS instrument telemetry is trending nominally.
