Maneuvers:

The Aqua MODIS Lunar Calibration Roll in November will happen on DOY 2003/308 (November 4, 2003). At 09:23:47-09:30:17 GMT. The roll angle will be -13.73 degrees.

No official date has yet been scheduled for the Aqua Deep Space Calibration pitch maneuver(s).

MODIS Anomalies:

None

General Instrument Comments:

FM1 MODIS is in Science Mode. The SVD and NAD are Open, the survival heaters are enabled, and the Black Body is heated to 285 K.

MODIS Telemetry Trends:

The FM1 MODIS instrument telemetry is trending nominally.

Non-MODIS Significant Events:

Solar Flare Activity

In the last week, Solar Flare Activity has increased and has had a notable effect on Aqua. An increased rate of Taxi 2 Errors were detected with associated small amounts of science data losses. A complete count of the Taxi 2 Errors and science data lost is still being ascertained. AIRS, AMSU, and AMSR-E transitioned to survival or sleep mode over concerns with the large CME detected around 10:00 GMT on October 28, 2003. MODIS and CERES elected to remain in nominal science modes based on their previous experience with similar CME events on Terra.
